24 Ways to Christmas – A Quiz Just For You

Image0204

Oh, it’s been a while.  According to (some) blogger etiquette, I’m not supposed to remind you of that,  but I wanted to say that I’ve missed being here.  Having been well-occupied with children and domestic Canadian life, writing has dropped to the bottom of the priority list.  This is unfortunate but due to be addressed as soon as December 25th is just a memory.  In the meanwhile, here’s a little something to stir up your brain cells.

If I were diabolical,  I would post this on Christmas Night, when everybody’s brain is in a fog from too much food and drink.    However, since I will be in the same state and wouldn’t remember to do that, they’re going up now.

Each phrase is a clue to a well-known Christmas carol.  Good luck!  (Answers will be posted….later.  When depends on how desperate you get!)

  8. I got all but about 5. I'll check back. This was fun, and you are a clever woman. It wasn't too bad using my brain this morning after my second cuppa coffee.

A beautiful Christmas to you, Deborah. It looks like France is very Christmassy!

  9. Honey, that horse done left the barn! It's too damned early for me to think straight. This is how all that looked to me when I saw it:

Maybe I'll try later when I'm more lucid. If that ever happens!

    There's a blogger etiquette manual?

  11. I came here via ds's blogroll. What fun it is to decipher your questions! Also, your snow photo seems so familiar, and when I look at your profile, Ha, I find a fellow Canadian. (As for France, I can only say I'm an occasional tourist only) Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the snow country!

Ruth, Ruth.....I didn't make them up :( I wish I was that clever, but no. Keep on with them - I'm sure you'll get them all. It certainly took me a while the first time.
Right now I'm in Calgary - the header photo is in France, obviously, but it was actually taken last February. The post photo is of my son's driveway!
Merry Christmas to you and have a lovely, lovely time!

  14. Susie, that made me laugh out loud. You are hilarious!
Blog etiquette - well, Ive read a few posts about that. Most of it's just common sense about replying to commenters etc etc. But the issue of infrequent posting came up the other day on ProBlogger, and it was the writer's opinion that there's no point in making it obvious that you don't post very often, or that you've been way too busy to get to your blog. But we know that OUR blog buddies will always be there, right?
And on that note, I'm off to read yours. xxoo

  17. I have that list somewhere in one of my "important papers" files, Deborah, and just love it. It's a great way to meet people as a party teaser at Christmastime. I'm glad to know YOU know some of us actually miss you when you aren't around. And yet, of course, we all understand the hectic life of one like you who travels between homes. I've been there in your boat and totally understand. Please have the best of this holiday season!

  20. Ginnie, I just wish I could give proper credit for it, but I don't know who the author is. Maybe I should Google it...
I'm been so absent lately, and then all of a sudden had things to write about and felt like it AND had a bit of time!!! I'm just disorganized, is all. Thanks for being so understanding, dear woman.

  21. Sorry I did not realize that you had written. I think you are having fun, but I am afraid that I can get none of the songs – I wish you had included one in French like from the few I know – Il est né le divin enfant ou mon beau sapin, ou petit papa noël, but as for the American ones – I a clueless.
